GCSE results may be released to students from 08:00 on Thursday 20 August 2026, but your school or college chooses the actual collection or portal time. Exam-board grade-boundary tables are also published on results day; AQA and OCR state 08:00 for their tables.
The national restriction is the earliest release time, not a promise that every student account opens at 08:00. Schools need staff present, secure systems and advisers available, so local windows often begin later. Do not treat a delayed portal or queue as evidence that something is wrong with your grade. Grade boundaries are published by each exam board, not as one universal table. AQA and OCR say their June 2026 GCSE boundaries are published at 08:00 on results day. Pearson maintains its official boundary index for Edexcel qualifications. You need the correct board, subject, specification and tier.
