How we use cookies to improve your experience. Learn about the cookies we use and how to manage them.
The cookie policy explains what browser-side tracking and preference technologies are used to operate, measure, and improve the site.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit our website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.
Revise Right uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies to support core platform functionality and, where you allow it, to measure site usage. These tools help us remember preferences, maintain sign-in and security flows, and understand how the product is being used so we can improve it.
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies: Necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, network management, and accessibility. You cannot opt out of these cookies or equivalent essential storage mechanisms.
Performance & Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information. They allow us to count visits and understand which pages are most popular. We only use these cookies where required consent has been provided.
Preference Storage: Some product settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using browser storage or similar technologies rather than separate cookies. For example, this can include interface preferences and saved privacy choices.
Storage Inventory
The table below lists the main browser storage items we currently set directly in our application. Third-party providers such as Firebase, Google Analytics, and Sentry may also use their own browser-managed storage or cookies depending on your browser, device, and consent choices.

Third-Party Cookies
We use third-party services that may place cookies or use similar browser technologies on our behalf, including:
Optional analytics services, including Google Analytics, DataFast and PostHog, where configured and you have opted in
Authentication and security services, including Firebase and Google reCAPTCHA. Security services may use storage such as Google's _GRECAPTCHA cookie before optional analytics consent
Error monitoring services, including Sentry, where enabled by your consent choices
Depending on the service and browser, these technologies may be implemented through cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar mechanisms. They are also subject to the relevant third-party privacy policies.
Your Optional Analytics Choice
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets the _ga cookies listed above and tracks your visit in the normal way so we can understand how the platform is being used.
If you decline or have not made a current choice, the optional Google Analytics and DataFast scripts are not loaded. We do not send Google Analytics measurement pings before opt-in. Where configured, PostHog and Sentry also start only after you allow optional analytics.
Browser session recording is disabled. PostHog automatic interaction capture and identified person profiles are disabled; we use explicit product events. Sentry provides optional technical diagnostics. Advertising storage and Google advertising personalisation remain denied.
Withdrawing consent clears known optional browser identifiers and reloads the page so already-running optional provider code stops. It does not automatically erase information already received by a provider; contact us if you want to exercise your data rights.
You can review or change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings below.

Managing Cookies
Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or delete certain cookies. However, disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our platform.
Cookie Preferences: You can manage your cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner when you first visit our website. You can change these preferences later through the consent tools we make available and, in some cases, by clearing your browser cookies.
Session Cookies: Temporary and deleted when you close your browser. They help maintain your session while you navigate our platform.
Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They help us remember your preferences across visits.
Essential cookies typically last for the duration of your session, while analytics cookies may last up to 2 years. Some locally stored preference records remain until they expire or are cleared.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices. We may provide notice of material changes by posting the new policy on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and using other notice methods where required by applicable law. Where changes affect non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will update our consent tools and seek fresh consent where required before those changes take effect.
