Revise Right vs Gizmo AI: board-specific GCSE and A-Level notes against an AI flashcard app with spaced repetition. Free limits and plans checked October 2026.
Gizmo is an app that turns your own content into flashcards and quizzes, then tests you with spaced repetition and game-style rewards. Revise Right starts from the exam: written notes by board and tier, past-paper pages, and recall tools with AI help around them. Published by Revise Right, which has a commercial interest in this category. Check current coverage and plans directly with every provider before buying. Last evidence review: 2026-10-12.
Is Revise Right vs Gizmo the better fit?
Gizmo is the stronger fit when you already have good notes and want a free, game-like way to memorise them, on iPhone, Android or the web. Revise Right is the stronger fit when you need the notes themselves, written for your exam board and tier, with flashcards, quizzes and an AI tutor attached. Gizmo's Unlimited price is shown in its app by device and region, so we could not verify it.

Is Gizmo free?
Mostly. Gizmo says you can create unlimited cards and decks and quiz for free. The free plan has waits after losing 15 Hearts and between Magic Imports, and five AI Tutor sessions a day. Gizmo Unlimited removes those limits.
Does Gizmo follow my GCSE exam board?
Gizmo builds flashcards from the material you give it, so it follows whatever notes you import. We found no exam-board course library on its checked pages. Using notes matched to your specification gives the generator relevant source material, but AI-made cards can still omit or misstate details. Check generated cards against your notes and specification before studying them.
Is Revise Right or Gizmo better for spaced repetition?
Gizmo's Memorise mode is built around spaced repetition and schedules cards for you. Revise Right puts flashcards and quizzes next to board-specific notes and past papers. If daily memorising is the whole job, Gizmo is the more focused tool.
Can I use Gizmo with Revise Right?
Yes. Learn the topic from notes written for your board and tier, then use spaced repetition each day to keep it. Check any AI-made card against the notes before you learn it.
How often is this comparison reviewed?
